Concord Hospitality Promotes Judy Santell to Vice President of Total Rewards

Santell will be responsible for implementing and managing rewards programs, including a corporate benefits strategy intended to motivate and retain associates.

Concord Hospitality Enterprises, a hotel management and development company, is pleased to announce that Judy Santell has been promoted to Vice President of Total Rewards. In her newly appointed role, Santell will be responsible for implementing and managing rewards programs, including a corporate benefits strategy intended to motivate and retain associates.

Santell will help design and develop benefits packages, determine implementation strategies, and coordinate closely with other executive team members to gather feedback and information about current benefit plans. In addition, she will oversee Concord’s compensation and payroll team, helping manage budgets and negotiating with outside vendors and suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.

“Judy is undeniably a cornerstone of this company and has been for decades, consistently going above and beyond in her role,” said Debra Punke, Chief Human Resource Officer at Concord. “For her first 23 years with Concord, Judy executed everything related to compensation and benefits by herself and, when COVID-19 hit, she took on payroll and taxes as well. I speak for the entire team when I say we are beyond grateful for her compassion, work ethic, and dedication, and we are extremely pleased to recognize all her efforts with such a well-deserved promotion.”

Santell has been a member of the Concord team for over 25 years and accepted a position in Concord’s corporate office in 2000 as an assistant to the chief operating officer and director of human resources. Throughout her time with the company, Santell has worked in risk management primarily on benefits, compensation, and, most recently, payroll.

“I will be forever grateful to Concord for seeing in me what I did not and giving me the confidence and guidance to continue growing and believe nothing is impossible,” said Santell. “I feel fortunate to work for a company that cares about their associates and strives to help them succeed and grow.”

Since she graduated, Santell has worked in hospitality with an associate degree in hospitality management. Based in Cleveland, Santell spends her free time with her grandchildren and enjoys continuing and building new traditions with her family.
