Acrylic experts engineer Reynolds Polymer Technology, installs panels for three-story cylindrical water feature in Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel.

Reynolds Polymer Technology, Inc., announces that it has manufactured, supplied and installed a cylindrical aquarium for Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel’s nearly 50-foot aquarium. The large water feature is prominently displayed in the grand lobby as a central design element filled with nearly two thousand aquatic animals of varying species.

The salt-water filled cylindrical tank is comprised of 14 individual pieces of acrylic bonded together with seven vertical bonds and one horizontal bond in a monolithic structure. The cylinder measures 49 feet high with a width of 20 feet and thickness of 7.5 inches. The property sets itself apart from other local area hotels with its unique design and affinity for the environment through nature motifs and commitment to sustainability. The lobby aquarium that spans three hotel floors features nearly 2,000 fish of over 90 species and coincides with the fish-shaped lighting and water-like front desks, coordinating with the nearby Ocean Park aquatic theme.
