Restaurant Executive Summit Presents Dynamic Workshops to Engage and Inspire

9/13/2012
The 8th Restaurant Executive Summit (RES) is scheduled for October 8-10, 2012 in Charleston, SC. Held at Charleston Place, this year's focus is "Synergy across the Enterprise: Fostering Cross-Departmental Collaboration." The day one agenda will include two concurrent workshops that will be driven by group discussion to foster the exchange of ideas and capture group feedback.

The first session, “Corporate Culture, Leadership & Profitability,” will be facilitated by Peter Karpinski, COO and co-founder, Sage Restaurant Group and Laurence Kretchmer, partner, Bold Folds LLC. This workshop will provide a lively discussion among restaurant executives on ideas for creating a positive corporate culture and its impact on a profitable brand. Discussion topics may include: leadership development, team building ideas, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, empowering employees to have a vested interest in the company’s success, and more.

The second workshop focuses on "Mission-Critical Technology Innovation" and will be led by Tony Marsters, director/IT services for Pita Pit and Gary Shatswell, CTO/VP of marketing for Sizzling Platter. This workshop will include technology-focused conversations and peer-to-peer sharing around the top “must-do” technology initiatives for restaurants. As customer expectations change and technology capabilities expand, this session will allow attendees to find out what other executives consider mission-critical in the year ahead. Topics may include: payment and POS upgrades; network; data security; and more.

This Summit presents a full program of solutions-focused educational sessions offering insights from across the restaurant environment, including technology, operations, finance and marketing. Key decision-makers will be able to share strategies and exchange ideas outside of departmental silos, with the collective goal of staying in front of industry trends, preserving financial health, and positioning their companies for growth. Peer-to-peer collaboration and networking with the hospitality industry's leading technology solution providers provide additional value to attendees.

The educational sessions at the Summit will help you identify priority initiatives and growth opportunities that will give you an edge. Speakers - senior-level restaurant executives and trends analysts - will share ideas for improving operations through technology, while also capturing consumers in new and innovative ways.
