Victoria “Vikki” McCormick's coworkers say she touches every aspect of the company including the loyalty program. POS, mobile app and even fundraising. She built the database architecture that is the backbone of Jersey Mike’s.

No doubt her efforts contributed to Jersey Mike’s receiving HT's Industry Hero Award.

From a very early age, McCormick had an interest and role models in technology. “My mom used to build mainframes and was the first woman in tech that I admired,” she said.  “I enjoy solving problems by building high-tech solutions.”

One of her first jobs was writing databases in SQL. “I was impressed with the kind of business knowledge you gained from studying data,” says McCormick. “Real value lies in the data.”

In the future, McCormick expects to see companies making use of the cloud and online ordering more and more. This will not only allow companies to provide their customers with an easy way to make orders, but companies will be able to push promotions and engage with their customers in a far more meaningful way.

“The data that companies get from mobile apps allows them to understand and connect with the people they serve and gives them the ability to market directly and intelligently,” said McCormick. “This will help companies to better serve and interact with their customers.”

McCormick said she’s honored to receive the Top Women in Restaurant Technology Rising Star award. “Winning is a reflection on Jersey Mike’s. Great values translate into great things. I just want to say that I work with a fantastic team, and I am very grateful to be a part of the Jersey Mike’s team.”
